| Magda Wroblewska (pronounced: Vro•bles•ska) was raised in Poland. She has lived in France (1981-1984), in Canada (1988-1995), and in the Bay Area (since 1995).
Education and Training
- 1986: Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland
- 1987: Internship in Gestalt Institute, Krakow, Poland
- 1989 –
1995: therapist at the outpatient substance abuse clinic, Ontario,
Canada: extensive training in chemical dependency assessment and
recovery, and issues related to sexual abuse or assault.
- 2000: Master of Science in Clinical/Counseling Psychology San Jose State University, California
- 2001 - 2005: Internship at Process Therapy Institute Los Gatos, California
During this time Magda worked with middle school children, families, and women dealing with domestic violence.
- 2005 - present: Private Practice
- January 2008 - present: Clinical Director at Eastern European Service Agency - supervising the delivery of mental health services to refugees and emigrants.
Her theoretical background is primarily cognitive-behavioral therapy, Gestalt, humanistic and process models.
Magda lives with her
husband and a preteen son. She has one grown son and two adult
step-sons in her blended family. Her rich life experience helps her
relate to people from various backgrounds and cultures.
